Practice time you can actually see working
You hold the account. You set the level. And a plain dashboard shows you what your child has learned, so "I finished my spelling practice" comes with receipts.
Your dashboard
One screen, everything that matters:
Words mastered
Every word your child has learned to spell and use correctly, and the ones in progress.
Accuracy trend
Whether they are getting sharper over weeks, not just today.
Exact misspellings
See the word your child typed next to the correct spelling, so you know exactly what to work on.
Printable reports
Print a progress report or a practice worksheet from this week's list whenever you need one.
Current level
Where they are, which list they are on, and what comes next.
How much time is right?
Practice sessions run 10 to 15 minutes and end at a natural stopping point. Suggested daily practice:
| Age band | Suggested practice | Roughly |
|---|---|---|
| Ages 5–7 (K–2) | 1 session a day, a few days a week | 10–15 minutes |
| Ages 8–10 (3–5) | 1–2 sessions a day | 15–25 minutes |
| Ages 11–13 (6–8) | 1–2 sessions a day | 15–30 minutes |
| Ages 14+ (9–12, college prep) | 2 sessions a day, or focused test-prep practice | 20–30 minutes |
Spelling sticks through short, repeated sessions far better than one long weekly cram. You can see actual minutes in your dashboard and adjust the routine to your family.
Plays on what you already own
Time for Spelling plays in the browser. There is nothing to download and nothing to install. It works on phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and computers, and your child's progress saves to your parent account, so they can start on a tablet at home and pick up on a phone in the car.
How the parent gate works
Children play inside an account a parent created. Kids never sign themselves up, never enter personal information, and cannot change account settings. Level changes, account settings, and progress all sit behind the parent login. If you want your child at a different level, ahead in vocabulary or taking more time with spelling, you set it. The app follows your call.
